Carroll Distributing & Construction Supply, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager for heavy highway, paving, and civil projects in Kansas City, MO. The role involves certs, product purchasing per plans, customer coordination, and paperwork organization to track progress.

The candidate will manage DOT compliance, build vendor relationships for pricing, and handle data entry, purchasing, and scheduling of deliveries across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large heavy highway/paving/civil projects.
• Knowledge of state DOT regulations.
• Ability to manage certifications, approvals, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Obtain proper certifications for projects.
• Order products per plans and specs and coordinate purchasing.
• Work with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Organize paperwork and track progress of projects.
• Build relationships with vendors to secure best pricing and terms.
• Data entry including order entry, purchasing, and scheduling deliveries.
• Project manage and track sold commercial steel jobs and serve as the point of contact between detailers and contractors.
• Receive bar lists from detailers and relay information to rebar production.

Carroll Construction Supply is currently taking applications for an experienced heavy highway/paving/civil project manager.

This candidate shall have knowledge of all aspects of managing large projects. Job description includes but is not limited to: getting proper certifications, ordering products per plans and specs, working with the customers, organizing all paperwork and keeping track of progress, knowing current state DOT regulations, building relationships with vendors to get the best pricing, as well as data entry including order entry, purchasing, and scheduling deliveries. Carroll Construction Supply sells a full line of concrete forming systems, foundation supplies, construction equipment, contractor supplies, and rebar fabrication at over 35 locations spread throughout the United States.

Additional Work Requirements to be Considered:

• Strong Organizational Skills are required
• Working with a team and multitasking is required
• Setting up job folders for newly sold fabricated steel jobs
• Sending sold commercial steel jobs to outside detailing
• Project Managing and tracking sold commercial steel jobs and point of contact between Detailers & Contractors
• Receiving Bar Lists from detailers and relaying that information to rebar production
• Writing the sales orders for the reinforcing steel jobs going out
• Keeping track of the billing of the sold commercial projects
