Job summary

A global staff augmentation firm seeks an experienced finance consultant with strong project implementation experience in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience, robust knowledge of financial reporting (IFRS, US GAAP), and exceptional analytical abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software like JIRA is critical. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in project implementation in financial services.
• Understanding of financial and management reporting including IFRS and US GAAP.
• Strong accounting knowledge and general ledger structure understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide FO/BO exposure in Global Markets.
• Run independent projects with Finance and Operations teams.
• Support month-end closing and regulatory reporting.

Job description

Responsibilities

• FO/BO exposure in Global Markets and/or Capital Markets or ALMT or Global Banking or even experience in Finance bookkeeping is ideal.
• Understanding of product life cycle = accounting knowledge is a must.
• Importantly, experienced & skilled project-minded able to run independently with senior Finance and Operations folks will complement the existing consultant in the team.
• 7-10 years of strong experience in project implementation (Accounting Systems) in the field of financial services industry.
• Understanding of financial products and system architectures, including accounting business processes including financial and management reporting (e.g. IFRS and US GAAP), month-end closing process, regulatory reporting and entity consolidations is critical.
• Strong accounting and basic general ledger structure knowledge are must.
• Experience and knowledge trading and markets / corporate banking / retail and wholesale banking (e.g. FINRA, CFTC, SEC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including business process and data analytics.
• Ability to work effectively in geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and explain complex issues clearly and concisely to audiences of varying functional, technical or accounting levels
• Strong Microsoft software Office skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
• Knowledge of project management tools, JIRA, SharePoint
