Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery from intake and discovery through implementation and post-launch review.
  • Manage enterprise and departmental initiatives related to operations, technology, data, reporting, compliance, and process improvement.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into clear, actionable project plans.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk logs.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and change impacts; drive mitigation and resolution.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, vendors, and leadership.
  • Apply project management methodologies to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Support change management, documentation, communication, and training efforts.
  • Ensure projects align with mortgage banking regulations, internal controls, and governance standards.
  • Provide clear status reporting and executive-level communication.

Job Summary

The Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive operational efficiency, technology enablement, and strategic execution across Kind Lending. This role partners closely with business leaders, technology teams, and vendors to plan, execute, and deliver projects that align with company priorities, regulatory requirements, and our people-first culture. This is an ideal role for a seasoned Project Manager with a strong foundation in mortgage banking who enjoys turning ideas into action and thrives in an environment where collaboration, accountability, and forward momentum matter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery from intake and discovery through implementation and post-launch review.
  • Manage enterprise and departmental initiatives related to operations, technology, data, reporting, compliance, and process improvement.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into clear, actionable project plans.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk logs.
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and change impacts; drive mitigation and resolution.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, vendors, and leadership.
  • Apply project management methodologies and best practices to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Support change management, documentation, communication, and training efforts.
  • Ensure projects align with mortgage banking regulations, internal controls, and governance standards.
  • Provide clear, concise status reporting and executive-level communication.
Project Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Mentor team members on project standards, documentation, and delivery expectations.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and philosophies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Demonstrated experience using project management platforms such as Jira, Asana, ClickUp, or similar tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of mortgage banking operations, systems, and workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize information and drive decision-making
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading change in a growing organization.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Mortgage banking or financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting technology, operations, or enterprise-level projects.
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PgMP, CAPM, Agile) a plus.
Pay Disclosure

The starting base salary range is $96k - $130k annually. The actual base is dependent on many factors such as: work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Work Authorization

Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S. without a visa sponsorship.
