Job summary

Tangent Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Manager to help plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects. You will liaise with stakeholders and teams to keep projects on schedule and within scope.

The ideal candidate brings strong PM knowledge, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in manufacturing settings and familiarity with PM tools. This role is primarily on-site in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with business or PM exposure.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing, project engineering, or PM roles is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of PM principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects through planning, execution, and delivery.
• Lead NPD projects from concept to product launch.
• Assist with business intelligence activities related to new product introductions.
• Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and resources.
• Drive PMO governance, documentation, reporting, and project health updates.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment across teams.
• Coordinate work across engineering, quality, supply chain, operations, and marketing.
• Support regulatory, quality, and manufacturing readiness for new products.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management principles, coupled with excellent problem-solving, analytic-thinking, and decision-making abilities. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively liaising with stakeholders and team members

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead cross-functional projects through planning, execution, and delivery
• Lead NPD projects through early concept development, engineering phases, testing, and product launch
• Assist with analysis and business intelligence activities related to new product introductions
• Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and resource coordination
• Drive PMO governance, documentation, reporting, and project health updates
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and communication across teams
• Coordinate work across engineering, quality, supply chain, operations, and marketing
• Support regulatory, quality, and manufacturing readiness for new products
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies

• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira) is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field with business or project management exposure
• 1-3 Years of previous experience or internships in manufacturing, project engineering, project management or related fields is advantageous
