Job summary

Carollo Engineers in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction, managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and quality standards. You will coordinate staff engineers, drafters, and consultants to deliver complex solutions.

The role requires a Hawaii-registered PE, 15+ years in water projects, and a proven track record delivering large-scale water and wastewater programs on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 15+ years of water project experience.
  • Experience delivering and managing water treatment, transmission/distribution, storage, groundwater wells, and master planning projects.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Hawaii.
  • Experience in design and construction phase with budget, schedule, and quality responsibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to communicate with clients and project teams.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints.

  • Prepare reports, technical memoranda, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain effective communication among project teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Partner with local business development teams to identify opportunities and assist with proposals, including scopes and cost estimates.

Responsibilities


  • Buildon our growth in the region and will be facilitating the planning, design, and construction of complex water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects, including the development and execution of budgets, schedules, contract obligations, and quality standards

  • Manages the successful execution of water and wastewater utility projects

  • Applies acute technical and project delivery knowledge to advise clients throughout the project life cycle and meet or exceed budget, schedule, and quality goals

  • Leads and oversees project teams in the planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of projects of various sizes

  • Maintains a culture of effective communication among project teams, clients, partners, and other stakeholders

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • 15+ years of water project experience

  • Experience delivering and managing water treatment, water transmission/distribution, water storage, groundwater wells, and master planning projects

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Hawaii

  • Experience in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large sized water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering

  • Design and construction phase experience


Compensation Range

$140,000 to $185,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
