Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking Project Managers to support a major design and construction program at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. As an onsite member of the program management team, you will coordinate facilities, workstreams, and stakeholders through planning, design, construction, turnover, and closeout.

You will ensure alignment with cost, schedule, risk, quality, security, and mission requirements, working closely with Government stakeholders, designers, contractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of project management, design management, construction management, engineering, architecture, or delivery of complex capital projects.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • At least 1 year of DoD contracting or consulting experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects, facilities, or workstreams and coordinate daily activities among Government stakeholders, designers, contractors, consultants, and the program team.
  • Track scope, schedule, cost, risk, decisions, action items, RFIs, submittals, changes, and deliverables.
  • Participate in design and constructability reviews, coordination meetings, field activities, progress reviews, turnover, and closeout planning.
  • Maintain accurate project information, meeting records, dashboards, logs, action-item registers, and decision documentation.
  • Support solicitations, procurement planning, market and risk analysis, evaluations, and contract award activities as assigned.
  • Coordinate with technical, project controls, security, commissioning, construction, and other specialists to integrate requirements across concurrent efforts.
  • Review project status and deliverables for alignment with scope, schedule, budget, quality, security, program, and mission requirements.
  • Prepare project briefings, status reports, executive updates, decision papers, and other communications.

Position Summary

Tetra Tech is seeking Project Managers to support delivery of a major design and construction program at Nellis Air Force Base. As an onsite member of Tetra Tech’s program management team, the Project Manager coordinates assigned facilities, workstreams, and stakeholders throughout planning, acquisition, design, construction, turnover, and closeout. The Project Manager helps maintain alignment with program cost, schedule, risk, quality, security, and mission requirements. The role involves close coordination with Government stakeholders, designers, contractors, specialty consultants, and internal program team members.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare project briefings, status reports, executive updates, decision papers, and other communications while promoting accountability, collaboration, and safety.
Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications to be considered for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management, business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, design management, construction management, engineering, architecture, or delivery of complex capital projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, maintain organized project controls, and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with common project management tools and Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • At least one year of prior experience in consulting and/or Department of Defense contracting.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, military construction, aviation, mission-critical facilities, or other complex Government capital programs.
  • Experience with collaborative delivery, design-build, or other integrated design and construction delivery methods.
  • Experience supporting acquisition, procurement, solicitations, market research, source selections, or contract award activities.
  • Project Management Professional certification, Certified Construction Manager credential, Professional Engineer license, Registered Architect license, or similar professional credential.
  • Experience with project management information systems, cost and schedule controls, design reviews, construction administration, commissioning, turnover, or project closeout.
  • Familiarity with Federal acquisition, construction, design, security, or facilities delivery requirements.
Work Environment / Environmental Factors

  • The position is primarily performed in an indoor office and meeting environment on Nellis Air Force Base. The role requires periodic movement between offices, conference spaces, and active design and construction areas.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor desert weather, construction noise, dust, uneven surfaces, and other normal active‑site conditions may occur.
  • Appropriate site‑specific safety practices and personal protective equipment requirements will apply when visiting active project areas.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer.
  • Frequent communication in person, by telephone, and electronically.
  • Frequent movement within office, meeting, and project environments.
  • Occasional walking through active project sites, using stairs, bending, and carrying routine office or field materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

Additional Information
  • This is a full-time, onsite position based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
  • The standard work schedule is generally Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Flexibility may be required for early morning or late meetings, project milestones, critical issues, or extended hours based on program needs.
  • Local travel within the Las Vegas and Nellis area may be required.
  • Occasional travel to other project sites, client locations, or Tetra Tech offices may also be required.
  • The pay range for this position is between $120,000 to $140,000 annually. However, the pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal parity
