Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead the full project lifecycle—from preconstruction planning through commissioning and closeout—for commercial and industrial electrical projects in Greensboro, NC.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and risk; coordinate field execution with superintendents; ensure NEC compliance and quality, and communicate with clients and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in electrical construction and project management.
• Proven track record delivering commercial/industrial electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC, and construction means/methods.
• OSHA-30 and NFPA-70E familiarity preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Own overall project delivery: scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety
• Lead preconstruction planning, purchasing/buyout, and subcontractor onboarding
• Create and maintain CPM schedules, look-aheads, manpower plans, and cost forecasts
• Direct field execution in partnership with Superintendents; uphold QA/QC and NEC compliance
• Drive document control: RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, logs, and closeout packages
• Manage change events from pricing through negotiation and execution
• Coordinate with Estimating for turnover/VE and with Prefab/VDC for build strategy
• Communicate proactively with clients, GCs, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
• Champion safety culture and site-specific safety planning

You’ll manage budgets, schedules, and risk; drive field coordination; and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, on-time, and profitable delivery.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drawings/specs, NEC, and construction means/methods
• Proficiency with construction PM tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project/Primavera, Excel)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
• OSHA-30 and NFPA-70E familiarity preferred (or willingness to obtain)
