Position Summary

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the complete and satisfactory execution of the entire construction project. The PM serves as the focal point for coordination of all project information between the field, office, senior management, and the entire project team. The PM provides leadership, support, and training to the project team. Reports to: Project Executive.

Responsibilities
  • Project Execution
    • Assist in the development of project staffing plan and assignments.
    • Organize and oversee job site administration.
    • Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Oversee subcontractors’ quality of work and coordination among trades.
    • Identify and resolve all issues and changes.
    • Ensure job site safety and security systems are in place and operating.
    • Ensure all materials are delivered properly and on time (submittal and procurement procedures).
  • Schedule Management
    • Develop, monitor, and update project schedule.
    • Oversee subcontractor schedules.
  • Cost Control
    • Establish and manage project specific cost control system.
    • Monitor cost reports for adherence to budgets.
    • Approve payments to subcontractors.
    • Provide timely submission of invoices.
  • Communications
    • Establish and maintain relationships with all project participants (e.g., Owner and Owner’s representative, design professionals, subcontractors).
    • Manage project specific information systems and ensure they are maintained.
    • Coordinate site activities with office activities.
    • Communicate schedule revisions to all parties, as appropriate.
    • Communicate cost control status and issues to Grunley management in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience.
  • Qualifications
    • Working knowledge of construction project management software (Procore and P6 scheduling).
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Pay application and Subcontractor Pay Voucher Preparation.
    • Project CPM schedule development, updates, and time impact analysis.
    • Change management process.
    • Material and equipment fabrication & delivery tracking.
    • Subcontract administration and enforcement.
    • Prime contract administration & adherence.
    • Overall project team leadership & mentorship.
    • Complex issue negotiation & resolution.
    • Subcontractor buyout process.
    • Job Status Report, profit plans, and forecasting management.
Compensation & Benefits

This position will receive an auto allowance. The salary range for this role is $100,000.00–$150,000.00. Benefits include employer-sponsored health and life insurance, paid time off for sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, jury duty, vacation and 401(k) plans. Additional compensation opportunities may include incentive bonuses, paid holidays, company training, and tuition assistance. Comprehensive benefits will be discussed during the recruitment process; base salaries will be determined by skills, position, education, experience, market consideration, and geographic location.
