Job summary

UTAH DISASTER KLEENUP (UDK) in Draper, UT has immediate openings for experienced restoration Project Managers to drive the production and execution of restoration projects. The role plans, executes, and finalizes projects within deadlines and budgets, coordinating team members and contractors to deliver on plan.

The candidate will define objectives, oversee quality control, and manage resources. On-call shifts six days per month, including evenings and weekends, are expected.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in emergency services restoration and/or reconstruction firm project management role.
  • College degree or equal career experience.
  • Solid restoration knowledge and reconstruction experience.
  • In-depth experience using Xactimate software rebuilds.
  • Residential and commercial reconstruction experience.
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate subcontractors/vendors on projects.
  • Flexible during times of change.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  • Define project scope, goals for each project assigned and execute.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit estimates using Xactimate.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project

UTAH DISASTER KLEENUP (UDK) has immediate openings for experienced restoration Project Managers to drive the production and execution of restoration projects for our Draper, Utah operation.

The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize restoration and reconstruction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Specific Responsibilities Include

Education Or Equivalent Experience
  • 6 + years in emergency services restoration and/or reconstruction firm project management role
  • College degree or equal career experience
Job Requirements
  • Solid restoration knowledge and reconstruction experience
  • In-depth experience using Xactimate software rebuilds
  • Advanced drying certification and experience
  • Must have residential and commercial reconstruction experience
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate subcontractors/vendors on projects
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional customer communication and service skills
  • Ability to sell and present contracts to the client and close deals
  • Knowledge of the property/insurance industry
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Taking project manager on-call shift 6 days per month (evening/weekends). This includes taking calls from the answering service, dispatching crews and EMS site visits for commercial, board-up and large profile losses.
Compensation And Benefits
  • Project Managers are commissioned employees. Starting project managers earn between $65,000 - $85,000 in their first year at UDK.
