Paragon IT Professionals is seeking an experienced Project Manager with experience working on international projects (specifically the European Union). This is a contract to hire position - purely remote! Must live in the United States

The Project Manager is needed to lead the implementation of a new IT and software infrastructure instance. This role is vital to expanding operations internationally, ensuring all technology, data handling, and user management processes are fully aligned with GDPR and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact between U.S. and EU-based teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to embed GDPR, data sovereignty, and privacy-by-design principles into the architecture and operational processes.
• Lead full lifecycle project management for standing up EU-based IT and software systems, including infrastructure, application instances, and regional configurations.
• Manage vendors and service providers, including hosting and cloud services within the EU.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk logs, status reports, and escalation paths.
• Monitor project performance and adjust plans as needed to meet evolving business or compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, timelines, and resources, with a focus on compliance and business needs.
• Work closely with Security and DevOps to ensure data residency, access controls, encryption, and incident response protocols meet EU standards.
• Support post-launch transition to operations, including training, documentation, and support handoff.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management or related fields.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and EU data protection laws; experience working with compliance and legal teams.
• Proven experience leading international infrastructure or software deployments, preferably in the EU.
• Experience standing up EU-specific instances of SaaS or custom software platforms.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, or other security/compliance frameworks.
• Prior work with multi-national teams or matrixed organizations.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications a plus.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar PM tools.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data residency configuration.
• Ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
• Fluent in English; additional European language a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must live in the United States
