Job summary

The SLAM Collaborative in Denver, CO seeks a Project Manager with institutional project experience in Healthcare or Education to lead client engagements and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining workplans, budgets, and schedules; directing project staff; and contributing to proposals and consultant agreements with strong writing and contract language skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12+ years of institutional project management experience.
  • Experience on Healthcare and/or Education projects is preferred.
  • Bachelor and/or Master of Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organizational, team-building and collaboration skills are essential.
  • Licensure required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project team through the life of the project, including coordination with architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Collaborate with PIC and internal team members to ensure project success.
  • Maintain positive communications with clients, consultants, and staff.
  • Plan ahead, develop concepts accurately, manage the team, and meet deadlines.
  • Represent the firm on projects and maintain client relationships.
  • Assist in marketing efforts and may attend interviews.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff.
  • Prepare consultant contracts and monthly processing of invoices.

Job description

The SLAM Collaborative has an opening in our Denver, CO office for a Project Manager with institutional project experience, preferably within the Healthcare or Education market sectors. The ideal candidate for this position will bring strong management skills and acumen, team leadership, and client relationship skills. This position will involve owner interaction and coordination of the work of project teams. The PM’s responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project workplans, budgets, and schedules. The candidate should have writing skills and an understanding of contract language sufficient to generate proposals and consultant agreements.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the project team through the life of the project including: SLAM staff architects, interior designers, structural engineers, landscape architects, and coordination with various consultants
  • Continuously collaborate with P-I-C and/or internal team members
  • Maintain positive communications with colleagues, clients, and consultants
  • Ability to plan ahead, develop and express concepts accurately and rapidly, manage the project team, and meet deadlines
  • Client contact representing firm/team on projects
  • Assist in marketing efforts, may attend interviews
  • Provide mentorship to junior level staff
  • Preparation of consultant contracts and monthly processing of consultant invoices

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 12+ years of institutional project management experience
  • Experience completing small and large-scale, complex, Healthcare and/or Education projects preferred
  • Bachelor and/or Master of Architecture from an accredited program
  • Strong presentation, communication, organizational, team building, collaboration and communication skills are a must
  • ACHA accreditation preferred, but not required
  • Highly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines
  • Exhibit proficiency in MS Office and Revit
  • Licensure required

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 – 135,000. Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
