Job description

Overview

Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Highway Mass Grading

Colorado | Employee-Owned Contractor | $130K–$160K + Bonus + ESOP

Ready to Lead in Dirt?

We’re hiring a Project Manager for mass grading and heavy highway projects in Colorado. If you’ve spent real time in the field — not just behind a desk — and know how to run complex earthwork operations, this is your shot to step into full ownership and leadership.

Important: To be considered, you must have direct experience in heavy civil and/or highway construction — specifically in grading, earthwork, utilities, or similar scopes. No commercial or vertical construction backgrounds will be considered.

Why Join Us?

  • Real Responsibility: Run critical scopes on $5M–$20M excavation-heavy jobs — roads, pads, drainage, you name it.
  • Growth Track: Learn shoulder-to-shoulder with senior PMs and superintendents who’ve done this at scale.
  • Zero Nonsense: No bloated org chart. Just a sharp, focused, field-first team that values grit and ownership.
  • Safety-Driven: Zero recordables in 2024. We don’t just build — we build it right.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll support full-cycle project delivery — helping manage crews, budgets, schedules, and client communication while learning to run the job like it's yours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project scheduling, logistics, and subcontractor coordination
  • Monitor job costs, production rates, and material quantities
  • Keep quality, safety, and spec compliance on point
  • Support field operations and lead communication between office, field, and owner teams
  • Own pieces of the job while preparing to lead the full build

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years in heavy civil or heavy highway construction
  • (Mass grading, earthwork, drainage, utilities, etc.)
  • Proven experience supporting field crews, tracking quantities, or running scopes
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Hunger to grow into full PM authority
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus

What You’ll Get:

  • $110K–$130K Base Salary (DOE) + Annual Bonus
  • Company Truck or Allowance+ Fuel Card
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)– Real equity in the company
  • Full Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Vacation, Sick Time & Holidays

Own Your Career. Build the Roads. Build Wealth.

If you're a heavy civil pro ready to take the next step — not just in title but in ownership and trajectory — we want to hear from you.
