Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Project Manager to lead small to medium complexity projects and work as part of a global engineering team. You will report to the Senior Manager of Global Engineering Integration and operate in a hybrid model, on site two days per week, focusing on planning, execution and control.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in relevant field, at least 3 years of PM experience, and knowledge of PMI PMBOK. PMI PMP is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in listed disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years prior project management experience.
• Knowledge of PMI's PMBOK.
• PMI PMP certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Project planning: author project plans, define scope, schedule and cost baselines.
• Project execution, monitoring and controlling: manage profitability, scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications and stakeholders.
• Maintain project metrics and ensure status visibility for team, customer and partners.
• Close projects by archiving, final quality assessment, and capturing lessons and risks for future work.
• Develop relationships with product line teams, customers, suppliers to bring projects to completion.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvements to enhance performance.

Education

About the role:

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for all project management processes on small to medium complexity projects or on a portion (i.e. work package) of medium to complex project. Manage small to medium team sizes which may include project controls and engineers.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Global Engineering Integration and be located at our global headquarters in Cranberry Township. The position is hybrid; you will be on site 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project planning
  • Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
• Project executing, monitoring and controlling
  • Assume overall responsibility for profitability of contracts. Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members to complete the work. Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders through use of delegates/support as applicable. Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process. Prepare or oversee project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections (including Earned Value Management) to support project performance and financial reporting requirements. Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope. Promote teamwork including issuing and maintenance of project process metrics and process maps to ensure team, customer, and all partners are kept informed of project status.
  • Close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools. Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Identify opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future work.
  • Develop relationships with product line teams, customer, suppliers, and other partners to bring project to successful completion
  • Seek opportunities and implement continuous improvements to enhance project performance.
  • Implement improvement opportunities which will add value.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years prior project management experience
• Knowledge of Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
