Short Description: The Project Manager will lead a cross-functional project team, driving meaningful change, and ensuring the delivery of high-impact digital services to the State of Connecticut. Responsibilities include developing and managing project plans, establishing project governance, managing vendors, facilitating meetings and agile ceremonies, providing status reports, managing risks, and acting as the primary stakeholder contact.

Experiences Required:

Project Planning & Management (≥5 years):

  • Defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Creating project plans, schedules, and timelines
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings
  • Preparing and distributing progress reports
  • Communicating deviations and corrective actions
  • Establishing project management processes
  • Championing process improvement

Risk/Issue Management & Mitigation (≥5 years):

  • Identifying, tracking, documenting risks and issues
  • Assessing impact of risks
  • Developing mitigation strategies
  • Addressing risks proactively
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations

Team Management & Building (≥5 years):

  • Fostering collaboration and results-driven environment
  • Holding teams accountable
  • Removing roadblocks
  • Leveraging resources for capacity building
  • Managing vendor relationships

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Project Management:

  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, Scrum, Kanban methodologies
  • Proficiency with PPM tools like Monday.com
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Miro, Visio
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently
