Job summary

Environmental Comfort is seeking a Project Manager to support post-sale activities on HVAC projects in Columbus, OH. You will coordinate logistics, commissioning, startup, and warranty services while maintaining profitability.

The role requires organizing complex schedules, liaising with customers and vendors, and reviewing invoices to stay within budget. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in project management in construction trades, with a preferred construction degree and strong MS 365

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between customer, company, and manufacturer.
• Coordinate logistics including equipment delivery, commissioning, and startup.
• Provide documentation to contractors, customers, and end users.
• Create business processes to manage warranty activity.
• Receive and document warranty requests and route to proper teams as needed.
• Participate in site walk-throughs and meetings, on/off-site.
• Review, negotiate, and approve subcontractor invoices up to budget.

Job description

For over 25 years, Environmental Comfort has designed and delivered Engineered HVAC Solutions, LEED & USGBC Projects, Laboratory Environments, Data Center Cooling Solutions, Commercial HVAC, Institutional HVAC, Natatorium HVAC, Industrial Process & HVAC, and more.

Role and Responsibilities

The project manager supports Environmental Comfort’s post-sale interests on projects such as:

• Act as company liaison between customer, company, and manufacturer.
• Effectively coordinate logistics including:
  • Equipment delivery between manufacturer and customer
  • Commissioning
  • Equipment Startup
  • Warranty
• Provide equipment documentation to contractors, customers, and end users as applicable.
• Create business processes designed to facilitate effective and efficient management of warranty activity.
• Receive and document warranty requests for service and either a) resolve them, b) pass them to the warranty technician for phone support, or c) subcontract requests to a service source for further action.
• Participate in site walk-throughs, on and off-site job meetings, and on or off-site warranty issues as required.
• Review, evaluate, negotiate, and approve invoices from subcontractors for startup, commissioning, and/or warranty services up to budgeted amount for the project. Seek approval from Sales Engineers or management for invoices exceeding budget.

This is a high-paced position that is critical to organizational success relating to maintaining post-sale profitability,

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 3 years or more experience in project management in the construction trades
• Construction related degree is preferred
