Job summary

Real Estate Opportunity is seeking a full-time Project Manager in Columbus, OH to oversee property rehabilitation and construction projects from inception to completion. You will manage multiple subcontractors, coordinate with owners, vendors, and regulatory agencies, and ensure projects meet standards and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of PM experience; a Bachelor’s degree in construction management is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar PM role; industry experience preferred.
  • General Contractor License preferred; Home Improvement Contractor license preferred if applicable.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive as needed.
  • English and Spanish communication preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic calculations of income, discounts, interest, and areas.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee property rehabilitation and construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage multiple subcontractors, ensuring work meets standards, codes, and safety.
  • Manage residential and unit turns.
  • Develop scopes, budgets, and timelines; monitor costs to prevent overruns.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and quality.
  • Collaborate with owners, vendors, and agencies to facilitate execution.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendor/contractor relationships for pricing and quality.
  • Track milestones and prepare progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure permits, inspections, and compliance for each project.
  • Oversee and train hourly crew members on site.

Real Estate Opportunity is currently searching for a full-time Project Manager to join their team in Columbus, Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or similar, is preferred
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, but those with Project Management industry experience preferred
  • A current General Contractor License is preferred, and a current Home Improvement Contractor license is strongly preferred, though neither license is required
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to drive as needed
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is preferred
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as annual income, averages, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area

  • Ensure all necessary permits, inspections, and compliance requirements are met for each project.
  • Oversee, direct, and train a team of hourly crew members who perform various job roles on site.
