Job summary

The Premier Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ground-up commercial construction projects in Colorado Springs and Denver. The ideal candidate has managed multiple $50M–$200M projects in the last five years and holds OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities include contract interpretation, subcontract negotiations, cost control, and schedule management across multiple concurrent projects. Competitive benefits and salary are offered based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects valued between $50M and $200M.
  • Current OSHA 30 Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and organize project plans and files.
  • Review and interpret owner contracts and documents to align with drawings and requirements.
  • Review all project documentation to understand the full scope of work.
  • Negotiate and prepare subcontracts and work orders during project buyout.
  • Oversee project profit and loss and develop margin projections.
  • Prepare monthly project cost projections and reports.
  • Maintain quality control, safety, and other project standards.
  • Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Prepare monthly owner pay applications.
  • Track, price, and negotiate project cost changes and change orders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with superintendents.
  • Manage multiple projects to meet budget, schedule, and quality expectations.

Job description

The Premier Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a growing commercial construction organization with operations in Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have successfully managed multiple ground-up commercial construction projects ranging from $50M to $200M within the last five years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and organize project plans and files.
  • Review and interpret owner contracts and project documents to ensure alignment with architectural drawings and project requirements.
  • Review all project documentation to understand the full scope of work.
  • Negotiate and prepare subcontract agreements and work orders during project buyout.
  • Oversee project profit and loss performance and develop regular margin projections.
  • Prepare monthly project cost projections and project reports.
  • Maintain project compliance related to quality control, safety requirements, and other project standards.
  • Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Prepare monthly owner pay applications.
  • Track, price, and negotiate project cost changes and change orders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including participation in regular schedule updates with project superintendents.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, equipment, technology, engineering practices, cost control, scheduling, quality assurance, and safety requirements.

  • Ability to identify issues, gather and analyze data, establish facts, and make sound decisions.
  • Strong capability to analyze workflow, processes, and production across multiple active projects.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and positive working relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects valued between $50M and $200M.
  • Current OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel throughout Colorado as required.
  • Ability to successfully complete background screening and drug testing requirements.
  • Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
