Job description

We're working on behalf of a leading commercial and multi-family residential design-build general contractor to fill a key position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind our projects, overseeing multiple initiatives simultaneously and managing resources to achieve exceptional results. Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills will be essential in maintaining strong client relationships throughout the design-build process.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain a deep understanding of client needs, ensuring they are addressed throughout all project phases
* Collaborate with site superintendents to ensure they have all necessary, correct, and current information to manage projects effectively
* Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure profitable and timely agreements
* Obtain all necessary permits and licenses from authorities having jurisdiction
* Coordinate with administrative staff to prepare contracts, manage invoices, track documentation, generate job-cost projections, and finalize job closeout documents
* Develop and update comprehensive project schedules, including all phases and key milestones, to ensure deadlines are consistently met
* Source, hire, and manage subcontractors and other essential personnel
* Monitor project progress and performance, producing detailed reports for ownership and senior management

We're looking for a highly organized and proactive individual with a strong background in commercial construction project management. The ideal candidate will have:

* A minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
* A strong understanding of the design-build project delivery method
* In-depth knowledge of commercial and multifamily residential construction procedures and materials, as well as project management principles
* Experience with construction cost estimating
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project, Viewpoint Software, PDF Editors, and AIA family of documents
* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Ability to collaborate and adapt as a member of a project team
* A valid Driver’s License
