Job summary

Hewitt Young in Middletown, NY is seeking a Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from award to completion. You will protect profitability through disciplined planning, scheduling, and strong leadership, delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

You will develop schedules, manage budgets, coordinate with contractors and vendors, review drawings, and drive procurement while enforcing safety and NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction with project management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plans, and specifications.
• Experience managing commercial and/or industrial electrical projects.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, Bluebeam).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and contract documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute electrical construction projects from award to completion.

• Oversee field supervision.

• Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Manage material procurement, equipment scheduling, and vendor relationships.
• Enforce safety programs.
• Oversee project closeout.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical construction with project management responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plans, and specifications.
• Experience managing commercial and or industrial electrical projects.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, Bluebeam).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and contract documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
