O’Rourke Wrecking Company, a Cincinnati-based environmental, demolition, and site services contractor with 60+ years in the industry, seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee demolition projects from pre-planning to closeout.

The candidate will partner with key functions to ensure exceptional client service while upholding safety and operational excellence. 3–5 years PM experience and a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

  • Requires a 4-year degree in construction-related field or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of project management experience in construction, demolition, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of demolition regulations and safety requirements.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, organize, and manage conflict.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with clients, vendors and team members, serving as the information hub between operations and field.
  • Manage contract delivery and be the document and requirements expert.
  • Oversee project schedule and costs, including materials and subcontractors.
  • Lead all communications to ensure project documents and updates are current for all team members and subs.
  • Drive safety performance and culture by leading by example.
  • Develop team members through coaching and assignments.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee Demolition projects from pre-project planning to closeout. The Project Manager partners with key functions in the organization ensuring exceptional service for our clients, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Successful candidates for the Project Manager position will have 3-5 year experience in project management in the construction, demolition or adjacent industries. Project managers are expected to have a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience. The Project Manager role requires individuals to have a strong understanding of the regulations and requirements of the demolition trade. They are expected to be masters in developing strong relationships, communication, organization, and conflict management and demonstrate the ability to learn the company’s established processes and requirements in safety, demolition, sales and billing. Furthermore, the Project Manager is expected to have expertise in project management tools, financial management software and document management tools.
