Job summary

CBTS is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to direct a large-scale infrastructure and cybersecurity initiative across multiple sites in downtown Chicago.

You will coordinate cross-functional technical teams, stakeholders, cybersecurity groups, and operational leaders to deliver on schedule and within scope. The role requires extensive experience managing enterprise infrastructure and security projects, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive accountability and successful production

Qualifications

• 7+ years of PM experience delivering enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, OT, or critical infrastructure initiatives.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of networking, Windows/Linux environments, Active Directory, virtualization, patch management, vulnerability remediation, backups, monitoring, and change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, execution, governance, and delivery activities from initiation through closeout.
• Manage integrated project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests.
• Coordinate technical teams across networking, infrastructure, security, systems administration, virtualization, backup/recovery, and related disciplines.
• Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, stakeholder communications, and executive updates.
• Drive accountability across internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain RAID logs and proactively manage project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
• Coordinate maintenance windows, implementation activities, testing, rollback planning, and operational readiness.
• Ensure project documentation, operational procedures, knowledge transfer materials, and deliverables are completed and ready for production support.

CBTS is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager to lead a large-scale infrastructure and cybersecurity initiative across multiple operational sites. This role will oversee cross-functional technical teams and serve as the primary point of coordination between stakeholders, engineering resources, cybersecurity teams, and operational leaders.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in delivering enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, operational technology (OT), or critical infrastructure projects, along with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key DUTIES

• Lead project planning, execution, governance, and delivery activities from initiation through closeout.
• Manage integrated project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests.
• Coordinate technical teams across networking, infrastructure, security, systems administration, virtualization, backup/recovery, and related disciplines.

Requires

• 7+ years of Project Management experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, operational technology, or critical infrastructure initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary technical teams across multiple locations.
• Working knowledge of networking, Windows/Linux environments, Active Directory, virtualization, patch management, vulnerability remediation, backups, monitoring, and change control processes.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, dependencies, stakeholder communications, and governance.
• Strong facilitation, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with project management and delivery tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Planner, or similar platforms.

Preferred

• Experience supporting energy, utilities, manufacturing, industrial, or highly available environments.
• Background managing cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization, disaster recovery, resiliency, network segmentation, or identity management initiatives.
• Familiarity with NERC CIP or other critical infrastructure security frameworks.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, ScrumMaster, or similar project management certification.
• Experience supporting both Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.

• Delivery of complex security and infrastructure initiatives on schedule and within scope.
• Effective coordination across technical and business stakeholders.
• Clear visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
• Successful transition of completed solutions into operational support with comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Project Manager who enjoys driving complex technical initiatives while partnering closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams. This PM must be on‑site 4‑5 days a week in the office in downtown Chicago.
