Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: 100% Remote with periodic on-site travel

Duration: 12 Months + Extensions

Job Type: Contract

Top 3 Required Skills:

• 3+ years leading EHR implementation project management experience

• Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and clinical workflows

Must-Have Skills:

• 10+ years of project management experience
• Deep knowledge of EMR systems and clinical workflows
• Experience in healthcare RFP/procurement processes
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare regulations
• Proven success in managing budgets over $10M

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• PMP or equivalent certification
• Epic, Cerner, or similar EMR/EHR experience
• Healthcare administration or clinical background (MBA/MHA/Health Informatics)
• Familiarity with HIMSS, AHIMA, or value-based care initiatives
• Joint Commission or CMS regulatory experience

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead the full EMR/EHR RFP process from requirements gathering through contract negotiation
• Coordinate with clinical, IT, and executive stakeholders to define technical and workflow needs
• Oversee vendor demos, reference checks, site visits, and scoring
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, and budgets
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational procurement policies
• Provide updates to leadership and facilitate consensus across diverse teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, IT, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Proven experience with healthcare IT systems, integration, and data migration
• Certification in project management (PMP preferred)
• Experience managing healthcare technology projects lasting over 12 months
• Strong communication, leadership, and vendor management abilities
