Job summary

DesignBridge Ltd. in Chicago is seeking a high performing Project Manager to join our growing architectural design firm focused on building design, community projects and affordable housing.

The ideal candidate will contribute to all phases of the design process from concept through construction administration, coordinating design and engineering teams and ensuring code and zoning compliance across projects ranging from mixed-use to education and adaptive reuse.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in architecture/design
• Registered architect or actively pursuing licensure
• Experience working on fast-paced projects
• Ability to communicate with clients and consultants clearly and effectively

Responsibilities

• Oversee project from concept design through construction administration.
• Coordinate design and engineering efforts across disciplines.
• Prepare and review construction documents, permits, and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning, and project standards.

DesignBridge is an award winning Chicago based architectural design firm that founded in 1985. We are seeking a high performing Project Manager to join our dynamic, and growing design firm focused on building design, community based projects and affordable housing.

The ideal candidate should be interested in contributing to all aspects of the design process from conceptual design to the construction phase. The firms work ranges from Mixed-Use, Multifamily, Education, Retail, Office, and Adaptive Reuse Developments.

The ideal candidate should have experience in design, engineering coordination, construction documentation, permitting and construction administration. Candidates should also possess knowledge of construction materials and standards, as well as advanced knowledge of building codes and zoning ordinances.

Requirements

Min 5 years experience

Bachelor of Architecture degree or Master's degree in Architecture

Registered architect or actively pursuing professional architectural licensure

Experience working on fast paced projects

Capable of working in a fast paced and collaborative environment

Ability to take initiative and be pro-active

Ability to work independently and with others

Willingness to be flexible and manage multiple responsibilities

Able to communicate with client and keep open dialog with consultants
