Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator with 2+ years of experience in project coordination, management, or construction to oversee forecasting, submittal and delivery schedules, and overall project health at our Texas-based facilities. You will serve as the primary contact for CMC, review plans, and proactively identify risks while communicating cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, project management or construction related field.
  • Rebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawings.
  • Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel

Responsibilities

  • Manage forecasting, submittal schedule, delivery schedule, and overall job health.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for CMC.
  • Review project proposal/plans/specifications to identify risks, delays, or issues and communicate cost-effective solutions.
  • Resolve daily issues to ensure a timely, safe, and profitable project.
  • Write and review RFIs for cost impact.
  • Maintain project reports for management and customers.
  • Interact daily with various departments to ensure contract obligations are met.
  • Jobsite visits and meetings as needed

What You’ll Do
