Job summary

H&H is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead design projects for Massachusetts clients, guide a growing team, and mentor junior staff. The ideal candidate will oversee project delivery from planning through construction and maintain strong client relationships.

With 10+ years of experience, a Massachusetts PE license (or ability to obtain), and a civil engineering background, you will drive initiatives, coordinate disciplines, and help expand the firm’s local presence.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Massachusetts PE licensure (or ability to obtain).
• 10+ years of design and plan production experience.
• Familiarity with MassDOT details and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assume leadership role for managing design projects and coordination among project design disciplines.
• Oversee office operations, staffing levels, and resources.
• Maintain utilization of office personnel; balance project demands with staff development.
• Supervise and mentor junior-level design staff.
• Perform project management duties from planning to closeout.
• Assist the Regional Manager in growing the practice and expanding services.
• Lead preparation of proposals and presentations with marketing support.
• Maintain outstanding client satisfaction and relationships.
• Participate in local professional affiliations and encourage team involvement.

Responsibilities

• Assume leadership role and responsibility for managing design projects and coordination among various project design disciplines
• Assume leadership role and responsibility for all facets of office operation and facilities; review staffing levels and monitor staff tools and resources
• Maintain utilization of office personnel; balance project demands with opportunities for professional development
• Supervise and mentor junior‑level design staff
• Perform project management duties
• Assist the Regional Manager in growing the practice. This may include growing the office backlog, expanding the client base, increasing local service offerings, and/or entering new markets
• With marketing support, lead the preparation of proposals and presentations
• Maintain outstanding client satisfaction and relationships
• Participate actively in local professional affiliations and encourage team members to participate

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering

• Massachusetts PE required (or ability to obtain)
• 10+ years of conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production experience
• Familiarity with MassDOT details and production, as well as Project Delivery and Design Guide
