Job summary

Performance Contracting, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager for Boise operations in Boise, ID. You will lead bid, estimate, and execution of commercial, industrial and mechanical projects to protect margin and ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of construction management, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel/Word, with responsibility for cost analysis, scheduling, and coordinating with owners, engineers and subs. This is an on-site role in Boise, ID.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of Construction Management work experience.
  • Experienced in Commercial, Industrial, and Mechanical construction.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
  • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
  • Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
  • Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and keep each on schedule ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the company.
  • Must be flexible and enjoy working with a diverse group in a fast-paced environment.

  • Implement the corporate program regarding loss control and claims management pertaining to workers compensation.
  • Analyze and monitor actual vs. estimated costs in order to develop action plans where unfavorable variances are detected. Ensure that an effective job control system is utilized on each project.
  • Effectively estimate the majority of work applicable to respective region. Responsible to solicit the assistance of the estimating department when necessary in order to assure maximum bidding activity without sacrificing quality.
  • Negotiate contract issues and variances and further negotiate change order, scope changes, claims and other project issues as required.

Salary range: $94,000-$126,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
  • Experience with working with union representatives is preferred.
