Project Manager - Utility Infrastructure Construction
Our client, a well-established contractor in the utility infrastructure industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex overhead utility construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to oversee high-impact infrastructure work while managing field operations, financial performance, safety initiatives, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage utility infrastructure projects from award through closeout.
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Review construction plans, engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Oversee procurement of project materials and equipment.
- Lead project meetings and serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Administer change orders, contracts, project documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and safety performance across active projects.
- Support field teams in addressing construction challenges and maintaining project momentum.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience within utility construction, infrastructure, heavy civil, telecommunications, or related industries.
- Prior experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and industry compliance requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships.
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
