A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Owner’s Representative in Austin, TX. Responsible for managing projects from $1M to $5M in commercial buildouts, candidates must have a strong background in interior improvements and tenant finish-outs. Key responsibilities include project leadership, stakeholder management, and ensuring quality and budget adherence throughout the project lifecycle.

Overview

My client is expanding and looking for an experienced Project Manager / Owner’s Representative with a proven track record in interior improvement, tenant finish-outs and commercial buildouts. They\'re seeking a hands-on professional to manage projects ranging from $1–5M across industrial, office and retail spaces in Austin, TX. As a Project Manager, you will act as the owner’s representative, leading interior improvement and finish-out projects from concept to completion. You’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality, while protecting the client’s interests at every stage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead interior improvement and tenant finish-out projects ranging from $1M–$5M
  • Manage all phases of the project: design coordination, permitting, contractor selection, procurement, budgeting, scheduling and closeout
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for the owner, architects, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Ensure quality control, cost management and schedule adherence throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify risks, solve challenges proactively, and provide clear, concise reporting to ownership
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and subcontractors to achieve desired design outcomes
  • Maintain a high level of client communication and transparency throughout the project
What We\'re Looking For
  • Proven experience in interior improvements, tenant finish-outs and commercial buildouts (industrial, office, retail)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and change management
  • Deep understanding of Austin’s commercial construction market and permitting process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
