Job summary

MKH Search is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading General Contractor in Atlanta. The candidate will drive commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, focusing on interiors/renovations or new build work valued up to $15M.

The role requires strong budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination, with emphasis on clear client communication and risk management. Procore experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project experience.
• Proven track record as a Project Manager for a General Contractor.

Job description

We’re working with an established General Contractor that is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing commercial construction projects, with a background in either commercial interiors/renovations or new build construction, typically ranging up to $15M in value.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall financial performance
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Work closely with the Superintendent to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and project teams
• Monitor project costs and identify potential risks or issues before they impact the project
• Coordinate procurement and ensure materials and subcontractors are available when required
• Assist with estimating, preconstruction, and project handover where required
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience
• Proven experience working as a Project Manager for a General Contractor
• Experience with either commercial interiors/renovations or new build construction projects
• Experience managing projects up to $15m in value
• Strong understanding of project budgets, scheduling, contracts, and subcontractor management
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Procore experience preferred
• Construction-related degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered
