We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager with experience in both industrial and retail development or construction projects to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. This individual will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of ground-up and tenant improvement projects across the region, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of industrial and retail development/construction projects, including site work, core & shell, and interior build-outs.
- Coordinate with internal teams (development, leasing, legal, finance) and external partners (architects, engineers, general contractors, and consultants).
- Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
- Oversee bidding and procurement processes for contractors and vendors.
- Lead weekly project meetings and site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and ensure consistent communication.
- Resolve project issues proactively to minimize risk and maintain progress.
- Ensure all projects adhere to company standards, client requirements, and local code regulations.
- Prepare and present progress reports and project updates to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience, with a focus on industrial and/or retail developments.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and permitting in the Texas market.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP, CCM, or LEED certification is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing projects such as warehouses, distribution centers, flex/industrial parks, big-box retail, or shopping centers, ideally between $10M - $30M in project value.
- Familiarity with build-to-suit or speculative development processes.
- Knowledge of Dallas/Fort Worth zoning, permitting, and entitlement processes.
