Responsibilities

  • Lead project management for battery storage projects in Fluence's Americas organization
  • Guide project planning with internal engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation and finance teams
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, sales and senior management to meet full lifecycle deliverables
  • Document and communicate initial project plans and changes to the battery storage team
  • Oversee project implementation through to completion and handoff to service organization
  • Improve financial performance of projects while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Transfer project to Fluence service after completion

Job Description
Role Overview

The role of a project manager is to lead projects to the satisfactory completion of all stakeholders. He or she is the valued and trusted partner of the customer and the project team, increasing the business performance, reducing the project risks and enhancing the reputation of our business. The Project Manager will work in the Battery Storage organization based in the Americas. The Project Manager will work with the Battery Storage organization based in the Americas, reporting to the Director, Project Management Americas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working in close cooperation with Energy Storage project and engineering teams, lead project management for battery storage projects
  • Provide leadership and guidance in project planning to the entire Fluence project team including interfacing with internal engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning and business administration
  • Work with customers, suppliers, sales and senior management as necessary to ensure full life cycle project deliverables are met
  • Participate in business improvement projects including documenting and communicating initial project plans and any/all changes to the plan to battery storage team
  • Lead the implementation effort of the project until its satisfactory completion
  • Improve the financial performance of the project while maintaining and enhancing customer and project team satisfaction
  • Transfer the project after completion to the Fluence service organization
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • BS/BA in an engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager with P&L responsibility
  • Leadership, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability working in a matrixed and global organization
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Six Sigma or LEAN experience is a plus
  • Required travel: 30%
