Overview

Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm with over 34 years of industry experience, is seeking a full-time Project Management Specialist with expertise in all aspects of the design process for general construction projects across NYC. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Construction Project Management.

This position will be full-time, Hybrid. Candidates are expected to live in or near the New Jersey/New York metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze construction documents for tenant projects (TAA).
  • Download electronic TAA submissions and ensure completeness in adherence to building codes and standards.
  • Coordinate review comments from various technical disciplines and prepare memoranda for communication to line departments.
  • Assign technical disciplines for code reviews and liaise with Port Authority facilities to facilitate TAA and design audit projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with both Port Authority Tenants & Facilities and in-house application reviewers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • At least five (5) years of diverse experience in building codes and systems.
  • Solid understanding of architectural/engineering disciplines pertaining to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between Port Authority Tenants & Facilities and application reviewers to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and willingness to learn additional software (e.g., SharePoint, e-Builder/Trimble).
  • Registered Architect or Professional Engineer's license in New York and/or New Jersey is not mandatory.
