Job Summary

The Project Management Officer (PMO) will support engineering project management efforts by assisting in achieving the project's cost and delivery objectives. This position is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, bidding, and documentation of engineering activities. Responsibilities also include risk and opportunity monitoring, ensuring project deliverables, and providing operational support to drive project performance. The role ensures stakeholder alignment with project timelines and costs, facilitating successful engineering project execution.

Essential Job Functions
  • Promote and uphold standards, ensuring compliance with program and project management processes.
  • Assist in planning, budgeting, scheduling, status updates, and control of program tasks.
  • Support risk management processes and communicate mitigation actions.
  • Organize management activities, including month-end reviews, milestone assessments, and actions.
  • Coordinate and update program information such as KPIs (including EV metrics), reports, and dashboards.
  • Ensure proper documentation of Estimate to Complete (ETC) for active programs and updates for proposed programs.
  • Coordinate with financial teams on project network activities and resources.
  • Support Bid & Proposal processes, including bid narratives and reviews.
  • Assist operational teams with program management, work packages, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute feedback for process improvement.
  • Support analysis of engineering staffing, assets, and tasks.
  • Organize bid input data and compile results for engineering sign-off.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manage tracking of schedules, action items, financials, milestones, risks, and change management tools.
Job Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 4+ years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written).
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, motivated, adaptable, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills; experience with MS Project and ForProject preferred.
  • Understanding of EV concepts, resource allocation, SAP is a plus.
  • Strong proofreading and documentation skills.
  • Experience in program management office and engineering processes is desirable.

Physical Demands

Primarily stationary work, with occasional movement in the office/lab. Use of computers and office equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and observe details. Occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Position involves access to ITAR-controlled information; U.S. persons only.

Additional Details

Responsibilities include project scheduling, tracking, variance analysis, risk management, and engineering support coordination. Up to 10% travel may be required.
