The role oversees project execution, budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction, acting as a liaison among project teams, line management and stakeholders.

The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with several years of PM experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and an active US Secret clearance.

Northrop Grumman Strategic Communications System (SCS) Division has an opening for a Project Management Level 3 or Level 4, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports
  • Assessment of project issues and development of resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Manage deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate program risks, issues, and opportunities meetings and reporting
  • Support and lead role for new business proposal writing and team organization
  • Facilitate internal and customer meetings including meeting logistics, presentation material templates, collection, and content generation, meeting attendance for on-site integration, action item tracking, and post-meeting follow-up
  • Maintaining organization charts
  • SharePoint curation
  • Conduct business travel up to 25% of the time
  • Must be highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled communicator

This position may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4 based on the qualifications outlined below.

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of project management like experience OR a Masters degree with 3 years of project management like experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles
  • Risk/issue/opportunities (RIO) experience
  • Must have an active US Government Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Basic Qualifications Level 4:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of project management like experience OR a Masters degree with 6 years of project management like experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles
  • Risk/issue/opportunities (RIO) experience
  • Must have an active US Government Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Capture Experience
  • Active US Government Top Secret Clearance with a background investigation completed within the last five years

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
