Job summary

Schwickert's Tecta America Minnesota is seeking a Project Management Intern to support roofing, architectural metals or mechanical departments. You will assist in project management of sales generated or assigned and aid in daily operations affecting profitability and reputation.

Responsibilities include developing and tracking sales leads, coordinating with departments, and assisting in production, cost estimation, invoicing, and client relations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management or related field.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and memos.
• Bi-lingual communication skills would be considered a benefit.
• Proficient with Project Estimating software, Excel, Access, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in developing and tracking sales, sales leads, and promotes department services.
• Oversee and directs efforts related to production and quality control.
• Estimates job costs and presents all proposals to be submitted for review.
• Manages projects to meet targeted schedules and costs; ensures rapid close-out and turnover.
• Purchases materials and conducts inventory analysis and control.
• Completes billing, approves invoices, and coordinates payroll/timecards for projects.
• Resolves disputes with clients.
• Reports on issues detrimental to the company.
• Maintains equipment and policies.
• Tracks labor and material costs of jobs.
• Set up individual projects and invoices for time and materials.
• Works with prime and subcontractors on all phases of projects.
• Oversee day to day production maximizing daily revenues.
• Directs customer relation efforts related to field personnel.
• Reviews purchase orders, contracts, and proposals to ensure alignment with scope.
• Fields customer requests, questions and complaints to appropriate department.
