Job description

As our Project Manager - Delivery, you will be part of the ENGIE Capital Projects team at Georgetown University, leading the delivery of utility and infrastructure projects that sustain and enhance the campus energy systems. You will manage construction activities, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communication to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with ENGIE and University standards.

This position supports ENGIE’s 50-year partnership with Georgetown University to operate, maintain, and modernize the campus utility systems. The projects you'll manage - ranging from $1M to $10M - span chilled water, steam, hot water, electrical, and HVAC systems, directly improving campus reliability, sustainability, and long-term performance.

No two days are the same. You'll coordinate contractors, engineers, and University representatives to clear obstacles, track progress, and maintain alignment between design, construction, and operations. Your success will be measured by delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget, while building trusted relationships with all stakeholders.
You will:

  • Manage capital infrastructure projects from construction mobilization through closeout
  • Track project budgets, schedules, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with approved baselines
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including RFPs, bid evaluations, and vendor selection
  • Serve as the main point of contact between contractors, consultants, and ENGIE stakeholders
  • Conduct project meetings and site visits to review progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are met
  • Monitor and document project submittals, RFIs, and change orders in coordination with Construction Management
  • Prepare detailed progress reports, meeting minutes, and project dashboards for leadership and University review
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Project Delivery and Development teams to ensure seamless transition from planning to execution
  • Uphold ENGIE’s health, safety, and environmental standards at all times

What You'll Bring

  • A minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with at least seven (7) years of project delivery experience, ideally in utility, infrastructure, or campus construction
  • Eligible for hybrid work as permitted by project requirements
  • Minimal travel domestically
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to conduct physical site inspections and walk project areas safely
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, cost, and schedule while coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contract administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with solid attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet)
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, manage competing priorities, and maintain professionalism in fast-paced environments
