Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, part of HII, seeks a Program/Project Manager to oversee the operational aspects of ongoing shipbuilding projects and to act as a liaison between project management, planning, and line management.

You will review project status and budgets, manage schedules, prepare status reports, assess issues, and develop timely resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with 4 years of experience.

The Role

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Must Have
  • High School Diploma and 4 years of experience
  • Bachelors degree or above and 0 years of experience
Nice to Have
  • Able to perform in ORION, Excel and Powerpoint software. Knowledge in preparing and initiating Purchase Requistions (PRs). Ability to work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) with completion of Purchase Orders (POs). Tracking cost associated with all PRs/POs assoicated with each project.
  • Experience with computer entries and working with Excel.
