Job summary

Mariana Minerals is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for its Moab site to assemble and install equipment for new projects. You will be an early member of a new project team, owning tasks from start to finish and building new skills along the way.

The ideal candidate has mid-level maintenance experience with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read drawings, with mining or construction background welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Mid-level maintenance mechanic or millwright with proven equipment installation ability.
• Strong mechanical aptitude across hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, or light electrical.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Comfort working independently on small projects with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to take on tasks outside comfort zone.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and set up equipment for new and ongoing projects
• Support construction-type projects, from small builds to equipment installs
• Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as projects require
• Plan and carry out small projects independently, from materials to completion
• Partner with the project electrician and project engineer to bring projects online
• Troubleshoot and solve problems on the fly when things don't go to plan
• Keep work areas safe, organized, and compliant with site safety standards

Position Summary

We are hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our new project team at our Moab site, formerly Lisbon Mines, to assemble and install equipment for new projects.

The ideal candidate is motivated by change and wants to be part of a growing company. The work varies week to week, from setting up equipment and supporting construction builds to helping controls projects come together. As one of the first members of a new project team, you'll often own a job from start to finish and build new skills along the way.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and set up equipment for new and ongoing projects
• Support construction-type projects, from small builds to equipment installs
• Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as projects require
• Plan and carry out small projects independently, from materials to completion
• Partner with the project electrician and project engineer to bring projects online
• Troubleshoot and solve problems on the fly when things don't go to plan
• Keep work areas safe, organized, and compliant with site safety standards

Qualifications

• Mid-level experience as a maintenance mechanic, millwright, industrial mechanic, or similar
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a proven ability to assemble and install equipment
• Working knowledge across multiple areas, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, or light electrical
• Comfort working independently on small projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics
• A willingness to take on work outside your comfort zone
• Mining or construction experience is welcome but not required; manufacturing and other industrial backgrounds are a great fit

Schedule

• Monday-Friday days

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

• Lift at least 50 lbs, with exposure to dust, noise, vibration and diesel
• Wear all required PPE (hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, hi-vis, hearing protection, and a respirator when required)
