Job summary

Mariana Minerals in Utah is seeking motivated individuals for hands-on maintenance roles at our mine site. The program targets students finishing a technical program or grads with industrial/mechanical background, offering real equipment experience and a path to build a career with a growing minerals company.

You will learn mechanical and electrical maintenance basics, preventive maintenance, real-time troubleshooting, and site safety, including MSHA training and PPE.

What You Could Learn

• Mechanical maintenance: pumps, conveyors, crushers, hydraulics, and heavy equipment
• Electrical maintenance: motors, controls, VFDs, and instrumentation
• Preventive maintenance and real-time troubleshooting across the mine and processing plant
• Mine site safety, including MSHA training, lockout/tagout, arc flash (NFPA 70E), rigging, confined space, and working at heights

Who Should Apply

• Students in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance programs, and recent trade school or technical program grads
• Welders, fabricators, heavy equipment operators, drillers, or facilities techs with a stable work history who want to build maintenance skills
• Experienced mechanics, electricians, or military-trained techs looking to move into mining
• Comfortable with hand and power tools (experience helps but isn’t required for students)

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a mine site, and safety comes first every day.

• Outdoor and industrial work with dust, loud noise, and weather from summer heat to winter cold
• Required PPE: hard hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, high-vis clothing, and hearing protection, plus respirators and fall protection when needed
• Following site safety rules at all times
• Lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, working at heights, and entering confined spaces
