The Project Leader is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Leader also assists with the plan and designating project resources, monitors progress, and keeps stakeholders informed the entire way.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects
- Client engagement and relationship management
- Due diligence and site investigation
- Site and infrastructure design including street plans (plan & profile, cross-sections, etc.), grading and erosion control plans, stormwater management facilities, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems, and storm sewer systems
- Quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Preparation of specifications
- Preparation of permit applications
- Construction administration
- Assist in the development of plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design tools
- Ability to work well independently and on a team
Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required
- Ten or more years of civil engineering experience is preferred
- Project management experience is required
License or Certification Requirements
- Professional Engineer License (PE) for the State of Wisconsin is required
Physical Requirements
- This position requires sitting at a desk and working at a computer for a long period of time
- Some work may include fieldwork
- This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
PPE Requirements
- Hi-Visibility clothing should be worn on job sites and in the field as necessary
