Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Project Manager within our Sustaining Engineering team to lead cross-functional projects for medical device products, including hospital beds and equipment. You will drive planning, execution, and risk communication while coordinating with engineering, sourcing, operations, quality, regulatory, and marketing to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes design changes, process improvements, and supply chain support, with travel to Baxter sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical field.
• 1+ years of project management experience.
• Ability to communicate with diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to Baxter sites or customers.
• PMP certification preferred.

• Coach project team members, solve problems, and make project decisions
• Lead multiple small to medium projects with limited supervision
• Communicate up and down the organization to complete projects and provide project status updates
• Support change control KPI reporting with project reporting
• Create and maintain project schedules
• Track and communicate project risks
• Support continuous improvement and ongoing process improvements within the sustaining engineering project team
• Lead design changes for medical device products such as hospital beds and equipment
• Manage projects involving design improvements, new compliance requirements, quality improvements, or operations and supply chain support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, strongly preferred in engineering/technical field
• 1+ years of project management experience managing projects of various sizes
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate with diverse cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, sourcing, operations, quality, regulatory, and Marketing
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to travel to customers, suppliers, or other Baxter sites as needed
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project priorities and deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Effective time management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Monte Carlo simulation preferred
• Experience with Agile Product Lifecycle Management from Oracle preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
