Job summary

Global Connect Technologies seeks a Project Lead & Quality Expert to supervise data collection operations, ensure compliance, and mentor a team through end-to-end projects. You will review processes, drive quality improvements, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to resolve blockers and optimize performance.

The role requires strong communication, technical editing, and experience with firmware deployment and data tooling. Flexible scheduling and leadership across projects are expected.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or higher; Master preferred; PhD preferred.
  • Experience leading teams or acting as a Team Lead.
  • Strong debugging, data validation, and process improvement skills.
  • Proficient with shell commands and data sheets
  • Ability to mentor and drive quality across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise data collection processes from prep to quality control.
  • Audit and ensure compliance with client expectations and process norms.
  • Mentor and guide project associates; provide feedback and training.
  • Coordinate project start-up, scope, risks, and cadence with stakeholders.
  • Track metrics, prepare trend reports for business reviews.
  • Lead weekly project meetings and oversee artifact upkeep.

Job description

The team hosts various user studies provided from the client, that require us to monitor and evaluate various forms of data collections. The team hosts various studies that range from speech, sound, movement, gesture, motion capture, and facial recognition that are intended to provide data to train machine learning models.

Role of a Project Lead & Quality Expert

The role of a Project Lead & Quality Expert is a crucial part of the success of operations to ensure the team performs to the highest quality standard. The person in this role is a strong communicator and has an excellent understanding of existing processes, policies, stakeholders, procedures, and is an effective mentor to the team. A PLQE is responsible for reviewing proctors for compliance, ownership, and accuracy. Ensuring the graded members of their project are meeting client expectations and are resolving performance issues in collections. They will assist with providing feedback to members who are associated with their projects, oversee their assigned data collection projects from end to end, and are responsible for resolving any blockers or challenges that are encountered in those projects. The person in this role should be able to perform quality audits as per the process norms, identify and report on operational and quality trends, be able to monitor and assist the team during production hours, and be able to guide and manage the team with all updates and changes in direction from the client.

Responsibilities & Requirements :
  • Supervise data collection processes from preparation, setup implementation, and quality control.
  • Accountable for the completion of delegated tasks assigned to their projects including but not limited to; stakeholder requests, artifact upkeep, triaging bugs, expected quality of reporting, and device management (device setup, tracking, uploads, and issues)
  • Conduct both quality evaluations and data collections for various projects
  • Implement feedback from project associates and participants to improve user experience and data quality.
  • Detailed understanding of collection protocols and handling of queries
  • Reporting during set cadence for business reviews with the client.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure the successful implementation of process changes and all associated tasks that support the process (artifact updates, device shipment, allocation, setup, associate training, and expected reporting)
  • Oversee communications between client and project associates and ensure timely resolution of inquiries
  • Drive compliance and follow through with team members assigned to their projects for all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example through support, motivation, and mentoring of all team members who are assigned to their projects
  • Identify and maintain project devices, item inventory for all locations including shipping and procurement of new and existing items or devices.
  • Hosting weekly project meetings to conduct weekly check-ins with project associates.
  • Track metrics for the team and create relevant action plans
  • Manage assigned data collection project(s)
  • Communicate with stakeholders
  • Coordinate new and existing projects
  • Assist with the start up of a new project from incubation
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand project requirements
  • Assess risk, mitigate, and manage issues proactively
  • Gather test data
  • Follow up on engineer feedback
  • Prepare team metrics and trend reporting for business reviews:
  • Weekly meetings with Team Lead
  • Oversee the upkeep of key DC artifacts
  • Perform quality evaluations on 10% of all completed collections and provide feedback to proctors
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate, Master degree or P.hd preferred
  • Adept at navigating shell environments and executing command-line operations
  • Conducted comprehensive technical editing and validation of product datasheets
  • Managed firmware deployment and system rollbacks to ensure device stability and minimal downtime.
  • Experience : Min Experience required: (6 - 8 years in similar industry or role) / should have mentored a team / or played a role of an acting Team lead
  • Critical thinking and adaptability
  • Ability to work under the stipulated timelines and be able to multitask
  • Should be able to identify the areas of opportunity that will contribute to the overall development of the process metrics
  • Should be flexible in terms of shifts, taking responsibility, and Initiatives for the process
  • Strong knowledge on the uses of Google sheets, slides, docs, etc.
