Job summary

Central Florida Christian Chamber of Commerce seeks a Project Lead to manage wood and steel window and door restoration projects. You will coordinate with the Branch Manager, supervise a team, and ensure timely, quality results while handling client communication and change orders.

The role may require overnight travel for up to two weeks depending on site needs, with a focus on maintaining Austin quality standards and safe job sites across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating multiple projects and teams.
• Strong carpentry and restoration skills preferred.
• Ability to read plans and create material lists.

Responsibilities

• Scrape, sand, carpentry, glazing, painting and related tasks for restoration projects.
• Create accurate materials lists and labor schedules with Branch Manager.
• Serve as main client contact for project coordination and updates.
• Supervise a team of employees and temporary labor across sites.
• Coordinate onsite subcontractor schedules for efficient workflow.
• Ensure work meets quality and safety standards and timelines.
• Mentor junior staff to improve team capabilities.
• Track tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Communicate change orders with the sales team.
• Meet or beat material and labor estimates for projects.
• Maintain safety plans and enforce safe work practices.

Job description

This position will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of assigned projects from client communication to production are done accurately and timely. The Project Lead will be assigned various projects, including but not limited to, wood and steel window and door restoration. This person will be responsible for all aspects of projects assigned to them and will coordinate with the Branch Manager.

This position may require overnight travel for up to two (2) weeks at a time depending on site work needs for specific projects.

• Perform tasks including but not limited to scraping, sanding, carpentry, glazing, painting, etc.

• Work with Branch Manager to create accurate materials lists and labor schedules for assigned projects

• Be the main point of contact for clients regarding project coordination

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Ensure onsite and shop work is done accurately, timely, and to Austin quality standards

• Supervise a team of employees and temp labor

• Mentor less experienced employees to constantly improve abilities of team

• Coordinate onsite subcontractor schedules for efficient use of time

• Communicate any change order requests with details to sales team

• Meet or beat materials and labor estimates for assigned projects

• Maintain and keep track of company owned tools and equipment

• Keep assigned company vehicle clean and mechanically maintained

• Implement and monitor company safety plan to ensure a safe job site for employees and subcontractors

• Other duties as assigned
