Job summary

Volkert, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Land Surveyor to support the Southwest Region in Oklahoma.

You will supervise survey staff, manage projects, and ensure quality, budget, and schedule adherence across deliverables. Ideal candidates will hold a Professional Land Surveyor license with 5–10 years of project management experience, strong communication, and the ability to obtain licensure in additional states.

  • Excellent organizational skills and safety orientation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with federal guidelines
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage survey projects within the Southwest Region (Oklahoma)
  • Supervise survey technical staff and ensure quality, budget, and schedule targets
  • Coordinate with outside survey subcontractors and internal teams
  • Develop fees, write proposals, and contribute to marketing and business development in Oklahoma
  • Assist in leading and developing the Oklahoma survey department
  • Ensure QA/QC processes for final deliverables
  • Maintain safety compliance and project communications with stakeholders

Job description

Are we the road to your future? We are currently searching for an experienced Project Land Surveyor to support our Southwest Region located in Oklahoma. This position provides supervision and direction of survey technical staff in conducting land surveys and preparing survey deliverables and documents. Responsible for the success of projects including quality, budget and schedule for each project.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Member of a survey team working within a group to meet schedules, client requests (internally and externally) and production expectations
  • Managing assigned survey projects
  • Participating in marketing and business development activities to build client base in Oklahoma
  • Assist in leading and developing Oklahoma survey department
  • Coordinating and managing outside survey subcontractors
  • Implementing QA/QC practices for final survey deliverables
  • Developing fees and writing and reviewing proposals
  • Ensure compliance with company safety regulations
  • Communicate regularly with team members and operation managers to keep projects on schedule and meet client expectation
What You Need To Have
  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor
  • 5-10 years of Project Management experience
  • Desire and ability to obtain licensure in additional states
