IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Project Land Planner with 3+ years of experience in our Northern Virginia area (Fairfax, VA office).

Scope

The Project Land Planner position will involve conceptual and schematic design, site planning, master planning and graphic and technical production. The position will involve working within a team environment on various public and private sector projects, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, streetscapes, parks and open spaces. This is an opportunity to advance and grow professionally through project work experience and mentorship from senior staff.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Prepares land planning and zoning research for associated plans, studies and reports
  • Prepares lot yield sketches, concept plans and master plans
  • Completes entitlement drawing submission packages
  • Completes exhibits, presentation graphics and renderings
  • Attends project meetings with senior staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp
  • Good research skills, and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in planning (or equivalent discipline in landscape architecture, environmental studies, geography, urban design or arts)
  • 3+ years of relevant office design experience in land development

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
  • Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises.

This position is not eligible for Sponsorship.

Salary Range $70,000-$90,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options. In addition, IMEG Corp. provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
