Job Description
The Project Information Specialist II acts as the Project Specialist of automation technology for the project, managing the information technology, automation and information/data management requirements for the project team. This position works in conjunction with lead Project Information Manager (PIM).
• Apply effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
• Collect data and information requested by the lead Project Information Manager (PIM)
• Assist in the implementation of remote collaboration tools and procedures to support multi-office design reviews as well as training and collaboration sessions
• Assist in the implementation of client or joint venture mandated systems or processes which includes planning, setup, and configuration
• Assist implementation of Fluor environment for Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and coordinate with EDMS Project Application Specialist (PAS)
• Assist in coordinating the project training programs identified by the PIM
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
• Document and collaborate on system support and coordination
• Perform asset management for project/client assets
• Perform data management and quality activities for client turnover
Preferred Qualifications
• Accredited four (4) year degree or two (2) year diploma, or global equivalent, in Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, or Computer Science is preferred
• Two (2) years of experience in leading teams or initiatives
• One (1) year of experience in Information Technology/Automation
• One (1) year of experience in Automation support, Computer Aided Design (CAD) coordination, Project Controls, Engineering, or Procurement/Contracts, or equivalent is recommended
• Basic knowledge of Information Technology in:
o Desktop/laptop environment and general office tools
o Infrastructure such as wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN), telecommunications, etc.
o Electronic security o Electronic communications
• Knowledge of Fluor information technology governance and security policies
Salary Range
61,500 to 104,500
Market Rate
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
