Job description

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Project Geotechnical Engineer to manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects. Responsibilities include meeting and interacting with clients, managing budgets, coordinating field activities (such as logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores), evaluating geologic and seismic hazards, forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes, performing liquefaction, slope stability, and settlement analyses, and preparing geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. The Project Engineer will also provide technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists, and field technicians.

Education: B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Engineering); M.S. preferred.

Required Skills: The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer with 4+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting. Local experience and familiarity with local engineering practices are preferred. Candidates should be team players, detail-oriented, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required. Experience with construction and grading activities is strongly desired.
