Trevet is seeking a full-time Project Geologist or Environmental Scientist with 7 to 12 years of environmental experience to perform CERCLA/RCRA/UST studies and other support services at DoD installations within Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Northwest including Washington and Alaska. Candidates should possess, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in geology or a science degree. Registration as a Licensed Geologist in the State of Washington is preferred. The applicant must be eligible to work in the United States and on Department of Defense installations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology and environmental science services related to CERCLA, RCRA, and compliance related investigations, including geology/hydrogeology, contaminant chemistry, fate and transport, environmental risk assessment, and remediation technologies. Periodic travel to support field projects for extended durations of up to 1 to 2 weeks is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to safe work practices.
Project work is expected to include supporting the preparation of large technical documents including preliminary assessments, site inspections, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, proposed plans and records of decision, related planning documents, and other related CERCLA, RCRA, and compliance documents.

The ideal candidate will be located in the Seattle area. Work requirements include three or more days per week in the Seattle office with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week. Hybrid or remote work, preferably from the Pacific Northwest, may be available at Trevet’s discretion.
Annual salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000, plus benefits.
