Job summary

SCI Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Project Geologist to lead geological investigations, data analysis, and report preparation for environmental and geotechnical projects. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, a Professional Geologist license, and 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities include field investigations, project planning, coordination with clients and contractors, and preparation of technical documents. Travel and safety compliance are essential.

  • 5+ years in geological investigations and project management.

Responsibilities

Apply today!Essential Functions, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesProject planning and coordination including subcontractor procurement, sampling and health and safety plan development, project management support with client and regulatory interfacingUtility clearance coordination with one call (811) and private utility locators, clients, and contractorsConduct geological field investigations and data collectionAnalyze geological data and provide insights for project designPrepare technical reports and documentation for clientsCollaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers, and ensure safety and complianceBachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or related fieldAt least 5 years in geological investigations and project managementProfessional Geologist (PG) LicenseStrong oral and technical writing skills (required)Valid U.S. Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)Ability to travel out of town for up to 1 week at a time (preferred)Proficient in geological modeling and mapping softwareStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skillsAdditional InformationTraining: this position requires 40-hour OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm.
