Job summary

CCCI is seeking a Project Foreman to lead field crews across telecommunications and commercial construction projects. This role blends hands-on work with crew leadership, customer communication, scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance on multiple job sites.

The ideal candidate has 6–8+ years of experience, reads blueprints, maintains production records, and mentors junior staff. OSHA 30 and related certifications are valued; periodic travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 6–8+ years in telecommunications, structured cabling, or commercial construction.
  • Experience leading crews or as a lead field role.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber, and telecom infra.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specs, and drawings.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Ability to pass background screenings and drug testing when applicable.
  • OSHA 30 Certification; CPR/First Aid beneficial.
  • BICSI Installer/Technician Certification preferred.
  • Aerial Lift and Scissor Lift Certifications preferred.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily field operations for assigned projects.
  • Assign work and provide direction to field employees.
  • Coordinate daily activities to meet schedules and milestones.
  • Review drawings, specs, and work scopes before starting.
  • Ensure installations meet specs, codes and standards.
  • Monitor workmanship and perform quality inspections.
  • Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations; lead safety discussions.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, tools, equipment, and subs.
  • Maintain daily reports, production records, and documentation.
  • Communicate progress, delays, and field issues to superiors.
  • Mentor and develop Installer I/II and Project Technicians.
  • Assist with onboarding and field training.
  • Represent CCCI professionally with customers and inspectors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Management.

Job description

The Project Foreman is the first level of field leadership at CCCI. Designed for professionals with 6-8+ years of telecommunications, low-voltage, or commercial construction experience, this role is responsible for leading field crews, coordinating daily jobsite operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Project Foremen serve as the primary leader on assigned job sites, balancing hands-on technical work with crew leadership, customer communication, scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance. This position is ideal for individuals who lead by example, develop others, and take pride in delivering successful projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and supervise daily field operations for assigned projects.
  • Assign work responsibilities and provide direction to field employees.
  • Coordinate daily activities to meet project schedules, milestones, and customer expectations.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and work scopes prior to beginning work.
  • Ensure installations comply with customer specifications, manufacturer requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.
  • Monitor workmanship and perform quality inspections throughout the project.
  • Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and customer safety requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety discussions and promote a culture of safety.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, tools, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production records, material usage, and project documentation.
  • Communicate project progress, delays, manpower needs, and field issues to the Project Superintendent or Project Manager.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Installer I, Installer II, and Project Technician team members.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and field training.
  • Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining professionalism and positive customer relationships.
  • Represent CCCI professionally during interactions with customers, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Management.
Education & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 68+ years of telecommunications, structured cabling, fiber optic experience.
  • Previous experience leading crews or serving in a lead field role.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass customerrequired background screenings and drug testing, when applicable.
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Distinguish cable colors and labeling for telecommunications systems.
  • BICSI Installer or Technician Certification (Preferred, but not required)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Aerial Lift and Scissor Lift Certifications
  • Experience leading multiple installation crews
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and project management software experience
